Secure Wireless Mobility - People Move and Networks Must Follow and Adapt
October 18th 11:30 & October 19th 1:30 Tech Theater #2
Presented by Jonathon Voon, P.Eng. Systems Engineer Aruba the Mobile Edge

Attend this session and see how today's wireless mobility solutions represent a generational leap from prior offerings. Previous generation wireless LANs entailed a time consuming and expensive system integration project involving complex access points (APs) along with a management system, firewall, VPN, captive portal and wireless intrusion detection system. Current wireless LAN switches not only provide an all-in-one solution for the complexities associated with the old approach, but also offer additional innovative features such as self-healing, self-calibrating capabilities, secure remote access, and location services. These wireless LAN switches centralize all the intelligence of disparate systems and create a unified system that lowers the cost of deployment, simplifies management, provides secure mobility, and better security.

Are You Prepared For Disruptions?
October 18th 12:30, Tech Theater #1
Presented by Tracy Fleming, IP Telephony Practice Leader Avaya Canada
What would you do if a fire broke out at your office? What if a blizzard shut down your offices and prevented your contact center from taking calls? Disasters can occur in a variety of ways. Internally, your network is vulnerable to faulty IT infrastructures, viruses and "worms," unauthorized hardware/software, and disgruntled employees (and ex-employees). Even something as simple as an unattended coffee pot has been known to cause a devastating fire that destroyed valuable data. No one can accurately predict when a disaster or emergency will disrupt your business operations or impact your ability to communicate. In fact, the more your organization depends on your network and other technology infrastructure, the more devastating a crisis can be if operations are disrupted. The good news is that you can take steps right now to establish rapid recovery procedures for your essential functions and maintain business continuity. It starts with the Avaya Business Continuity Practice.

Join Tracy Fleming, IP Telephony Practice Leader at Avaya Canada, and get all the fundamentals you need to make smart decisions before disruption hits - so you can start the recovery process immediately, rather than just reacting to unexpected events without a plan in place
