  • Leap presents "The Linux Office". The open source is open for business in Linux Lane booth # 1309.
  • Bring your tired monitor and computers for recycling! Hosted by the Rotary
  • Rotary International will be collecting used computers and monitors for the District in Nassau as part of an international service project. PC's will be used by youth organizations and learning centers throughout Nassau. Over 2000 Rotarians from 43 Orlando area clubs will be participating in this District 6980 project. They are asking attendees to donate and bring used PC's to the Computer & Technology Showcase. There will be a collection point in the parking area on both days of the showcase. Rotarian Hank Lander, Owner of Communication Solutions (Booth #305), will accept telephone calls at 407-699-7442. Rotary International is the world's largest civic organization with over 1.2 million members in 164 countries, and will celebrate it's Centennial in 2005. RI is well known for its "Polio Plus" program: a worldwide program to eradicate Polio by the year 2005. The collection of computers is just one example of thousands of projects initiated worldwide.
  • Implementing Metro Orlando Technology Strategy - Presented by Rosellen Kraus


    Rosellen Kraus was hired as the Director of the Central Florida Technology Partnership on May 28, 2002. Prior to that time, Rosellen was the Marketing Director for a High Tech Security Firm, Infrasafe, Inc. For almost ten years she was the Assistant and Associate Director for UCF's Small Business Development Center. Her areas of expertise include entrepreneurialism, marketing, international trade and e-commerce. Her duties included management of the center and business counseling of a full roster of clients. She was responsible for the creation, and implementation of new programs and training events. Rosellen received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University with a double major in Marketing and Multinational Business Operation and a minor in Communications. She received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. While working for the SBDC, Rosellen maintained Certified Business Analyst designation. Rosellen Kraus has been an active member of the Central Florida Business Community since 1987. While a business analyst, Rosellen assisted over 2000 Central Florida business owners. Some of her organizational involvement includes: American Society for Industrial Security, Leadership Orlando Alumni, class 39; The Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Chamber of Commerce; The American Marketing Association; Alpha Kappa Psi, professional business fraternity; and Assistant Wolf Den leader of CubScouts Pack 206.

APICS Certification Module Training Sessions top



May 13, 2003 - Basics of Supply Chain Management

During this 8-hour session, individuals will be introduced to the contents of the APICS Certification Module Basics of Supply Chain Management. Concentration will be on Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), Capacity Management, Inventory Management and Quality as they pertain to the introduction level of supply chain management. Attendees will learn the fundamentals of these subjects so that with further study, they can be prepared to take the APICS Certification exam for this module.

May 14, 2003 - Master Planning of Resources

This 8-hour session will assist attendees in their preparation for the APICS Certification Module in this area. Subjects reviewed include Long-Range Planning, Forecasting and Demand Management, Sales and Operations Planning, and Master Schedule Planning. Attendees will be provided a framework on which they can build toward mastering this level of production information.
