International will be collecting used computers and
monitors for the District in Nassau as part of an
international service project. PC's will be used by
youth organizations and learning centers throughout
Nassau. Over 2000 Rotarians from 43 Orlando area clubs
will be participating in this District 6980 project.
They are asking attendees to donate and bring used
PC's to the Computer & Technology Showcase. There
will be a collection point in the parking area on
both days of the showcase. Rotarian Hank Lander, Owner
of Communication Solutions (Booth #305), will accept
telephone calls at 407-699-7442. Rotary International
is the world's largest civic organization with over
1.2 million members in 164 countries, and will celebrate
it's Centennial in 2005. RI is well known for its
"Polio Plus" program: a worldwide program to eradicate
Polio by the year 2005. The collection of computers
is just one example of thousands of projects initiated
